About Me

Caring for you while you learn to care for your baby.

I have always been passionate about caring for mothers and babies. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I spent years at the bedside as a registered nurse—three years caring for premature and medically fragile babies in the NICU and four years caring for mothers and newborns in the postpartum setting.

Over the years, I noticed something that stayed with me: new babies receive an incredible amount of attention, while the person who just gave birth is often expected to figure everything out on her own.

A mother can leave the hospital exhausted, overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, and still physically recovering from birth, with a brand-new baby in her arms and very little support around her. She's sent home and told to follow up in 6 weeks. That question—what happens during those six weeks?—is a big part of why I created Bringing Home Baby.

You shouldn't have to do all of this alone.

Bringing back the village

There is an old saying that it takes a village to raise a child. I believe it takes a village to support a mother, too. Modern life doesn't always make that easy. So many families—particularly here in Los Angeles—live far from grandparents, siblings, longtime friends, or the communities they grew up with. We may have built beautiful lives in new places, but sometimes our village didn't come with us.

I want to be part of that village. Bringing Home Baby was created to provide the kind of support that families have historically relied on from their communities: someone experienced who can come alongside you, help you feel less alone, answer questions, offer reassurance, care for your baby while you rest, and remind you that you're doing better than you think you are.

When baby needs a little extra support

My years in the NICU and postpartum settings have also given me particular insight into feeding and infant care. I have cared for families whose babies arrived early, needed additional medical support, spent time separated from their parents, or simply needed a little more attention and patience as they found their way home. I understand that bringing your baby home doesn't always look like the picture you imagined.

There is no single way to be a new mother, and there is no single kind of postpartum support.

Why doula support matters

Research on doula care continues to show promising benefits for mothers and babies. Studies have associated continuous labor and birth support with more positive birth experiences and improved outcomes, while emerging research on postpartum doula care suggests benefits that may include increased maternal confidence, stronger support systems, improved breastfeeding outcomes, and reduced postpartum distress.

What matters to me is not simply what the research says about outcomes. It is what happens when a mother feels seen, supported, and cared for during a vulnerable transition. Sometimes the most meaningful intervention is another person saying: “I've got you. You don't have to figure this out alone.” That is what I hope to bring to every family I work with.

Welcome to your village.

I'm so glad you're here.
